We are seeking a Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Services team.

Reporting to the Health Information Services Team Leader you will provide essential clerical support within Medical Records ensuring timely accurate and confidential management of patient information. Duties include preparing medical records for patient care responding to enquiries and maintaining records in line with organisational standards and privacy legislation.

About the role:

• Coordinate prepare and maintain medical records

• Ensure accurate tracking filing and storage of records

• Respond to internal and external enquiries

• Support timely processing for clinical coding and billing

• Adhere to quality safety confidentiality and compliance standards

About you:

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum Year 11 education

• Medical terminology knowledge

• Strong keyboard and data entry skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Microsoft Office and health information systems
