Health and Safety Coordinator - Construction

About the Employer
Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration technical improvement and sustainable outcomes.

The Opportunity
Support site safety management on a Sydney construction project working with the project Safety Manager. You will help maintain risk controls management plans and integrated systems while coaching teams and contractors in practical compliance.

Your Responsibilities
Support pre-start activities plant checks and compliance with safety management plans.
Guide subcontractor management including safe work methods work permits and inductions.
Review risk controls with delivery teams and help implement improvement actions.
Coordinate safety training and communications for workers and contractors.
Support first- second- and third-party management-system audits and prepare findings and corrective-action reports.
Assist managers with return-to-work and injury management processes.

Requirements
Skills Education and Requirements
At least two years of relevant industry experience.
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety and Rail Safety Induction are essential.
Training and assessment internal lead auditing ICAM investigation and return-to-work coordinator credentials are desirable.
Ability to prepare management reports and analyse safety data.
Current entitlement to live and work in the role location.
