Whats the role

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Westpacs Wealth business through technology.

As Head of Technology Wealth youll be the senior technology leader responsible for setting the strategic direction for technology across Wealth. Reporting into the CIO Business & Wealth youll partner with executive business leaders including CEO BT Financial Group to translate ambitious business outcomes into a long term technology vision that accelerates growth strengthens customer value and positions Wealth for the future.

Based in Sydney Gadigal Country youll lead technology strategy architecture engineering and transformation across the Wealth portfolio while influencing investment priorities modernisation initiatives and technology decisions that have lasting impact across the organisation.

This role requires a leader who can confidently operate at Executive and Board level balancing strategic vision with disciplined execution. Youll champion modern engineering practices foster a culture of innovation and accountability and build the technology foundations that enable Wealth to move faster operate smarter and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What do I need

• Experience leading high-performing technology teams within complex regulated environments with a very strong preference for Wealth Management experience
• Proven ability to develop and execute technology strategies that align technology investment with long term business outcomes.
• Executive presence and the ability to influence challenge and partner with senior executives boards members governance forums and strategic stakeholders.
• Experience leading large scale technology transformation modernisation and simplification initiatives within complex environments.
• A strong track record building high performing engineering organisations/businesses and championing modern engineering practices automation platform thinking and technology excellence.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance investment risk customer outcomes and long-term strategic value.
