HDR Progress and Completions Officer
Job Summary
The GGRS is currently looking for a HDR Progress and Completions Officer to be responsible for administering the HDR candidature progression and thesis examination lifecycle including candidature milestones thesis submission examination and completion. The role supports the Universitys objectives towards timely completions by ensuring these services are efficient effective and aligned with University Policies. The role also supports achievement of University targets through the ongoing monitoring collation and reporting of data.
The position reports to the HDR Operations Team Leader (Progress & Completions).
Key responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:
- Provide advice to clients on systems policies and procedures pertaining to the Progress Review and Thesis examinations areas and Higher Degree Research more broadly.
- Create process and manage data and information using various complex systems ensuring data integrity and accuracy at all times.
- Prepare written material and correspondence to inform a range of internal and external clients regarding progress and theses management matters.
- Consider and resolve complex HDR Progress Review and Thesis Examinations matters escalating as appropriate to the HDR Operations Team Leader (Progress and Completions).
- Assist the HDR Operations Team Leader (Progress and Completions) in the ongoing review and refinement of business processes and related resources for HDR progress and completions activities including updates to webpages.
- In conjunction with the HDR Operations Team Leader (Progress and Completions) provide leadership within the team to ensure a client focused approach and promote best practice in service delivery across all service interface channels and assist in the day-to-day management of the team including workload distribution.
About you
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree with substantial relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education skills and experience in the tertiary education sector.
You will also have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to highquality customer service and ability to tailor communications for diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Well-developed computer literacy skills including the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and experience providing clear guidance and resolution on complex matters.
- Demonstrated ability to provide informal leadership and support to colleagues
- Demonstrated experience administration preferably within tertiary higher degree research administration.
What we can offer
This is a fixed term (available until August 2027) 60% part-time (3 days per week) position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith Universitys campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full-time equivalent base salary for a HEW Level 6 is in the range $94966 - $101295 per annum plus 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $111110 - $118515 per annum.
