Handy Person

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyperson to join our maintenance team in Ibis Sydney this role you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and functional. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented efficient and able to handle diverse maintenance challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing daily checks and minor repairs across guest rooms and public areas
  (e.g. leaking taps door hardware light fittings silicone touch-ups basic plumbing fixes)
• Patch and paint work including repairing wall damage scuffs and general cosmetic wear
• Maintaining guest facilities and hotel equipment
• Supporting scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
• Inspecting cleaning and maintaining air-conditioning filters
• Clearing walkways and ensuring external areas are safe and presentable
• Liaising with management to ensure out-of-order rooms or areas are returned to service as quickly as possible
• Identifying maintenance issues early and reporting larger repairs where required

Qualifications :

• 12 years experience in a similar handyman maintenance or facilities role but not essential
  (hotel or accommodation experience highly regarded)
• Practical problem-solver who can work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining presentation standards
• Good interpersonal skills and professionalism when working in guest areas
• A strong commitment to guest satisfaction safety and Accors Heartist values
