- Salary relative to experience and ranges from $133348 to $146945 plus super

The role
Crown Lands is seeking a Group Leader Property Management to lead a small team of professional and technical specialists responsible for managing Crown land assets and natural resources. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people driving performance and working with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.
You will provide leadership direction and support to a multidisciplinary team responsible for managing the Crown estate and its assets. You will oversee property management planning natural resource management and land management activities while ensuring the team delivers high-quality outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Success in this role will come from your ability to motivate and develop team members manage competing priorities and foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key elements of the role include:
- Lead coach and develop a small team of professional and technical staff creating a high-performing and customer-focused culture.
- Manage team performance workload prioritisation and capability development to ensure the achievement of strategic and operational targets.
- Coordinate the effective management of Crown land assets and natural resource management activities across the region.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on land and asset management environmental matters land use planning and compliance.
- Ensure financial and non-financial targets are achieved through effective planning resource management and performance monitoring.
- Prepare and provide timely advice recommendations and briefings on complex land and property management issues.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation policies and procedures relating to land management planning and natural resource management.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with communities government agencies industry representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Represent Crown Lands at stakeholder meetings industry forums and community engagements.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience leading managing and developing teams to achieve performance targets and business outcomes.
- Strong people leadership skills including coaching mentoring performance management and workforce planning.
- Experience in property land asset natural resource or environmental management.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities particularly in complex or sensitive environments.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with experience preparing advice reports and briefings for a range of audiences
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in natural resources planning environmental science land management or other relevant field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in the industry.
- Current drivers licence and willingness to travel.
