Greek Speaking – Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a calm reliable and experienced Greek-speaking Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality person-centred support to a client living in Viewbank VIC

The successful candidate must be confident driving and have their own reliable vehicle as the role involves transporting the client to appointments activities and community outings.

As a Disability Support Worker you will provide respectful and consistent support tailored to the clients individual needs preferences and support plan.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Communicating with the client in Greek
• Providing companionship and meaningful social support
• Transporting the client safely to appointments activities and community outings
• Supporting community access and social participation
• Providing domestic assistance including general household cleaning laundry and maintaining a safe and tidy home environment
• Assisting with grocery shopping and other errands
• Preparing nutritious meals based on the clients preferences and dietary needs
• Building a positive and trusting relationship through calm consistent and respectful support
• Maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times

You are a compassionate and dependable Support Worker who:

• Speaks Greek confidently
• Is calm patient and respectful
• Enjoys providing companionship and social support
• Is confident driving and transporting a client
• Can prepare simple nutritious meals
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Can follow support plans routines and instructions accurately
• Is comfortable working independently in a clients home and community
• Is reliable and committed to providing consistent support
• Respects individual choice privacy dignity and independence
• Has a genuine passion for making a positive difference in someones everyday life

To be considered for this position you must have:

• Confident Greek-speaking skills
• A valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Your own reliable vehicle suitable for transporting the client
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Certificate III or IV in Disability Individual Support Aged Care or a relevant qualification ( preferred)
