Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) is a medium-sized rural health service that delivers a range of programs and services including acute subacute residential aged care and allied and primary health care services. KDHS has three campuses located in the townships of Kyabram Stanhope and Tongala.

the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Registered Nurse to join the graduate nursing program in a supportive clinical Nursing graduate program will have the opportunity to have two rotations. One rotation in Aged Care and one rotation in one of the following clinical departments including Acute ward District Nursing Perioperative services and Oncology.

While work 0.8 EFT the program offers you the opportunity to consolidate nursing theory and practice. You are supported by the Education team clinical support nurses and nurse unit managers and nursing and interprofessional colleagues.

Upon successful completion of the program graduates may be offered the opportunity of ongoing employment opportunities.

About you

• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Recent clinical experience in any of the following areas; acute subacute medical surgical aged care and/or specialityarea inpatient and community nursing
• Well-developed clinical analytical and problem solving skills
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated evidence of excellent time management and organisational skills
• Competent computer skills and knowledge of patient management and information technology systems
• Ability to work across KDHS in the event of clinical escalation
• Current Drivers License (DNS)
