Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced and driven individual to join our senior leadership team in NSW based in North Sydney (traveling to our NSW sites) and reporting to the Chief Retail Officer.
The General Manager NSW for Pre-Owned Automotive is responsible for the strategic leadership and overall performance of all pre-owned automotive retail operations within the state. This includes full accountability for sales results profitability customer experience and operational consistency across all locations. Leading a team of Site Sales Managers and their teams the General Manager ensures high performance through rigorous execution of the companys sales process effective stock management and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This role will see you:
- Lead coach and develop Site Sales Managers and their teams to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Translate national sales strategy into actionable state-level plans and targets.
- Oversee the consistent end-to-end execution of the sales process across all sites and sales roles ensuring every customer interaction follows best-practice procedures from enquiry to delivery.
- Lead the forecasting and performance reporting process with a focus on profitability and cost control.
- Drive operational consistency across sites ensuring policies compliance systems and processes are followed.
- Oversee all elements of vehicle intake including stock prep reconditioning advertising merchandising and presentation.
- Champion a seamless and professional customer experience across all sites in line with company values and brand expectations.
- Oversee CRM usage (e.g. Salesforce) across all teams ensuring accuracy in data entry lead tracking customer follow-up and reporting integrity.
- Provide insights and recommendations on pricing promotions and marketing initiatives tailored to the local market.
Qualifications :
- Proven multi-site leadership experience in pre-owned automotive sales with a strong track record of delivering results.
- Deep understanding of automotive sales methodology with the ability to drive consistent execution across all sales roles.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with full P&L responsibility experience.
- Expert in inventory planning aged stock control and stock lifecycle management.
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills with the ability to build capability at all levels.
- IT savvy and experience with data analysis and CRM systems.
- Current valid drivers license
