General Manager Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced visionary and culturally aligned General Manager to lead the team at the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel in Jabiru.
This role calls for an adventurous community-minded hospitality professional dedicated to managing year-round operations driving commercial growth and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Managing the Mercure Crocodile Hotel you will navigate the unique seasonal cycles of the Top End (the Wet and Dry seasons) while fostering deep respectful relationships with hotel owners local Indigenous communities and conservation partners.
In this role you will apply your operational expertise and commercial acumen to lead a dedicated team of Heartists in a remote culturally significant and environmentally sensitive location ensuring The Croc remains a premier destination for Australian and international travellers.
Please note this position is a live-on-site role providing accommodation at the Hotel as part of the employment package.
Qualifications :
A qualification in hotel management hospitality management commerce or business administration would be highly regarded.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years senior hospitality management experience (General Manager or strong Hotel Manager/EAM) ideally in remote environments.
- Proven commercial acumen and financial literacy with success in P&L management forecasting budgeting and optimising revenue streams.
- Highly skilled in managing multi-stakeholder relationships balancing corporate standards and owner expectations with a deep respect and appreciation for Indigenous communities.
- An inspirational people-first leader capable of fostering high performance and supporting team well-being in a remote residential community.
- Highly adaptable and resilient with the practical problem-solving skills needed to manage remote logistics supply chains and staffing cycles.
- Full unrestricted Australian working rights.
