About the Job

An excellent opportunity exists to kick start your new career inLocal Government through a General Hand position in Parks andReserves.

This entry level position provides an opportunity for on the jobtraining to develop the skills knowledge and expertise required tooperate a range of small plant and machinery whilst contributing tothe maintenance of the Shires parks reserves and position could lead to opportunities for further training andcareer development within areas such as horticulture plantoperation and reticulation.

This position provides safe and efficient gardening mowing andpark maintenance services within the Shire of Esperance. Thesuccessful applicant will undertake general labouring duties aswell as operate various specialised plant including mower whippersnipper leaf blower chainsaw and edger.

This position is for 85 hours over a nine dayfortnight.

About you

To be successful and thrive in this role you will have:

• Experience or willingness to learn the operation of plant and equipment such as mowers whipper snippers edger and chainsaw.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• White Card.

Benefits

Salary: $77680.11 per annum includingovertime plus superannuation.

Permanent staff are entitled to:

• 5 weeks annual leave per year
