Job Summary
Are you an experienced early childhood leader who is passionate about supporting children families and educators to thrive Mini Masterminds Box Hill (84 place) is seeking a dedicated and hands-onAssistant Centre Director (2IC) to join our leadership team in a full-time capacity.
This is a unique opportunity for a strong educator with leadership experience who enjoys being on the floor mentoring teams and leading by example. The role will primarily be based within our 34-year-old room while also supporting the Centre Director with the day-to-day operations of the service.
About the RoleAs the Assistant Centre Director (2IC) you will play a key role in supporting the Centre Director to ensure the smooth running of the service while maintaining exceptional educational outcomes for children.
This is a hands-on leadership position with the majority of your time spent working directly with children educators and families in our Preschool (34 years) room.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Centre Director with the daily management of the service.
- Lead mentor and inspire educators through positive role modelling.
- Build strong relationships with children families and the local community.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) National Quality Standards (NQS) and relevant regulations.
- Assist with staff onboarding training and professional development.
- Support occupancy growth and family engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to programming planning and educational leadership within the Preschool room.
- Step into the Centre Director role when required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential Requirements- Previous leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education and Care setting (Room Leader Educational Leader 2IC Assistant Director or similar).
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF NQS and Child Safe Standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid CPR Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
