Timbertop (approximately 245 students) is a boarding campus for all Year 9 students located near Mt Buller in Victorias Alps. All teaching staff live on the campus and students spend the entire year at Timbertop taking part in hiking recreational and community service activities.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and engaging FrenchTeacher to join our team and inspire students in Year 9 to develop their language skills cultural understanding and global perspective.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who can bring language learning to life through creative interactive and student-centred teaching practices. You will foster curiosity confidence and a genuine appreciation of French language and culture while supporting students to achieve their learning goals.

Applicants reside on campus and must be able to participate fully in the Schools outdoor education journeys running pastoral and wellbeing programmes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience teaching French preferably at the middle and/or senior school level

  • An experienced educator with a strong teaching backgroundin middle and/or senior years

  • Passionate about contemporary pedagogy and adolescent development

  • Strong curriculum design and planning skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students parentsstaffand externals stakeholders

  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills with the capacity to work across faculties and with external partners

  • Strong organisational and planning skills withexcellentattention to detail
