MacKillop Family Services is expanding its Foster Care Recruitment program across Queensland creating new opportunities to connect more children and young people with safe nurturing homes. This is an exciting chance to be part of a growing service and play a vital role in supporting recruitment efforts that make a meaningful difference across the Sunshine Coast and Central Queensland region.

Were looking for a highly organised and proactive Foster Care Recruitment Service Support Officer to join our Queensland Foster Care Recruitment team. You will provide essential administrative and operational support to help the program achieve its recruitment objectives. Your responsibilities will include office and administration management event coordination reporting on operational performance and supporting recruitment activities across the region.

This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Maroochydore QLD. The role sits within the Queensland Foster Care Recruitment Team and reports to the National Leader Foster care Development.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the impact of trauma including issues related to child sexual abuse domestic violence and grief/loss.
  • Demonstrated experience in administration office coordination and operational support.
  • Experience managing financial processes reporting and administrative systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience coordinating events training sessions or community engagement activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/reporting systems.
  • A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification in Business Administration Community Services or a related field or equivalent experience.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
