About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our Food Services team. The Kitchen Hand plays a vital role in supporting the efficient and high-quality operation of the Colleges Food Services department undertaking food handling catering tasks and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day services included taking orders operating the coffee machine and packaging and labelling food.
  • Responsible for stock rotation money handling and POS sales.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene food safety and proper storage.
  • Be aware of food allergies and special dietary requirements.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a strong commitment to supporting our students boarders and staff.
  • Demonstratestrong communicationskills to effectively liaise with colleagues.

What You Bring

  • Hold or willingness to obtain an Im Alert Food Safety Certificate
  • Prior work experience in food services industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety and chemical handling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to the Colleges Christian ethos and values.
