An exciting opportunity exists for a Fire Engineer to join a growing fire engineering consultancy on the Gold Coast. Working alongside experienced engineers and industry specialists you will contribute to a diverse range of projects across the commercial residential healthcare education industrial aviation defence and infrastructure sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to develop innovative performance-based fire safety solutions while working within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence professional development and client service.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver fire engineering solutions across a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
Prepare Fire Engineering Briefs (FEBs) Fire Engineering Reports (FERs) and Performance Solutions in accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC).
Undertake fire and evacuation modelling using industry-standard software.
Conduct fire safety assessments and compliance reviews.
Collaborate with architects developers building surveyors contractors and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in design workshops stakeholder meetings and client presentations.
Provide technical advice on fire safety strategies and risk management.
Support project delivery from concept design through to construction and occupancy.
Contribute to business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
A degree qualification in Fire Engineering Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment.
Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) Australian Standards and performance-based design methodologies.
Experience preparing fire engineering assessments and technical reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
