Were looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Crime (AML) Analyst to join our Financial Crime this role youll help safeguard the Bank by conducting ongoing customer due diligence assessing financial crime risks and ensuring we continue to meet our AML/CTF obligationsall while delivering a positive customer experience.

Youll make an impact by:

  • Conducting ongoing and enhanced customer due diligence reviews for customers with elevated AML/CTF risk.
  • Analysing customer information transaction activity source of funds and source of wealth to assess financial crime risk.
  • Completing accurate evidence-based risk assessments that meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Identifying escalating and managing financial crime risks in line with the Banks AML/CTF Program.
  • Maintaining high-quality documentation that is audit-ready and able to withstand regulatory scrutiny.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to deliver compliant customer-focused outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes controls and the effectiveness of financial crime operations.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments emerging risks and regulatory changes.

To succeed in this role youll have:

  • Experience or a strong understanding of AML/CTF compliance financial crime or risk within financial services or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to interpret information assess risk and make sound decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Confidence working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital systems.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance business law accounting criminology investigations AML/CTF or similar (or equivalent industry experience) will be highly regarded.
