About the Role

Joining us as a Full Time Finance Officer you will sit within our Financial Accounting team in a core transactional and processing role working with large sets of data. Reporting to the Finance Supervisor you will work alongside a team who oversee the Management and Financial Accounting functions of our large retail operations. You will play a key role in ensuring our core monthly accounting functions are completed on-time and accurately

What you will be doing

You will play a key role in ensuring our core monthly accounting functions are completed on-time and accurately

  • Reconciling high volume weekly store POS cash/EFT transactions for multiple stores liaising with Restaurants and Managers where necessary
  • Assisting in the review of periodic stock counts to ensure integrity
  • Preparing allocated general ledger balance sheet reconciliations
  • Staff and store reimbursement processing & review
  • Preparation of allocated weekly/monthly journals
  • Providing cover / support to other members of the team
  • Various ad hoc tasks supporting the end of month processing

What youll bring

  • Experience in a Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant role including monthly accounting processes and ERP General Ledger management
  • Advanced MS Office skills predominantly within Excel
  • Ability to use initiative and add value to greater Finance team
  • Ability to demonstrate strong reliability organisation prioritisation and time management skills
  • Ability to take ownership of work and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Ability to work with large sets of data
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high levels of accuracy
  • Professional communication (written and verbal) and people skills
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Self-motivated
