Our Surgical business has a unique Field Sales Manager opportunity for a driven and ambitious leader to join a high performing team managing part of Victoria. Is this the next step in your career

In Surgical Innovations we advance minimally invasive surgery to improve outcomes for patients and providers around the globe. Through wise investments thoughtful planning and world-class partnerships we help patients get the care they need from diagnosis to treatment when they need it.

Your natural ability to connect and communicate will build demonstrate expertise and maintain strong and ethical business relationships with customers to encourage usage of our Surgical Innovations products drive sales revenue and market share targets for this Victorian territory. Reporting into the Senior Regional Sales Manager the Field Sales Manager will spend significant time managing your team in terms of development operational requirements and working towards your teams goals.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Maintains accountability for their existing territory responsibilities subject to minor adjustments in line with business needs. Expectations for territory management remain aligned to the job description of their current role.

  • Collaborates closely with the Victorian management team to drive alignment strengthen engagement and contribute to a positive and cohesive team culture.

  • Plans directs and monitors the activities of a small sales team within a specified region to achieve established sales targets.

  • Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts.

  • Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team in order to implement the organisations overall sales strategy for an assigned region.

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions in order to support selling market development service efforts and clinical programs.

  • Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organisations sales plans to increase market share.

  • Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes conducts competitive analysis and implements strategies.

  • Coaches sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organisations products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.

  • Lead quarterly business reviews that identify performance drivers gaps risks opportunities and required actions.

  • Implement monthly 1 on 1s with sales team

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Proven people management or coaching experience preferably with establishing and motivating a sales team

  • Solid knowledge of Business Planning

  • Expert understanding of internal workings of hospitals labs/ theatres / departments / key influencers and tender process

  • Strong strategic focus and ability to identify business priorities
