Farm Operations Manager

What does a Farm Operations Manager at Warakirri Cropping do

• The Farm Operations Manager has full insight into what is happening on the farm and you get to be involved in decision making processes.
• You will be working with the Farm Manager on the day-to-day management of the farm and its performance. This includes a strong contribution to operational management employee and contractor management and leadership and Workplace Health and Safety.
• Working closely with the farm manager our independent agronomy team and the in-house precision ag team you will have the chance to monitor and manage crops to reach their full potential.
• You will work on the development of the farm its people as well as the group culture in line with the companys values. You will also be operating machinery which includes spraying planting spreading and harvest.

Qualifications :

• You bring Management experience in a broadacre cropping operation
• You have a sound knowledge of growing dryland winter crops.
• You have experience in the operation of large-scale cropping plant and equipment.
• A willingness to learn adopt new practices and further develop personal skills whilst working in a team environment is what others pride you on.
• Your skill to mentor and coach others is one of your strengths and you have demonstrated this previously.
• You have a high level of initiative and self-motivation
• You have excellent communication skills and can work closely with consulting agronomists and contractors
• Relevant qualifications will be looked upon favorably but is absolutely not a must.
