Job Summary

The Facilities and Fleet Officer is part of the Finance and Infrastructure Unit and supports the Assets Facilities and Infrastructure Manager in providing facilities services asset managementand building operations for TAIHS.

This role involves addressing minormaintenance requests assisting team members and contractors and ensuring theeffective delivery of maintenance services throughout TAIHS. Additionally the Facilitiesand Fleet Officer helps assist the daily management and upkeep of TAIHS assetsincluding both leased and owned properties as well as the corporate facilitiesand vehicle fleet. The goal is to maximize asset performance and lifespanthrough efficient and effective management practices. The position involves avariety of general duties and may require work across different locations asneeded.

The Facilities and Fleet Officer isresponsible for attending to maintenance requests prioritising customer needsidentifying and addressing issues as well as recommending & assisting contractedservices when this role the Facilities and Fleet Officer willfoster and maintain professional working relationships collaborating closelywith colleagues across TAIHS to ensure high standards of customer service andservice delivery.

Duties &Responsibilities

FacilitiesSupport

Carry Out minor repairs andmaintenance across all TAIHS facilities as directed

Assist in maintaining the TAIHSAsset Register through asset inspections and audits.

Conduct routine inspections ofTAIHS facilities and identify maintenance requirements defects and safetyconcerns.

Assist with contractor managementactivities site inductions and monitoring compliance with approved SWMS andsite requirements.

Assist with office relocationsfurniture installations storage management and site setup activities.

FleetSupport

Conduct routine inspections andaudits of TAIHS fleet vehicles to ensure safety compliance cleanliness andoperational readiness.

Identify investigate and reportvehicle defects damage maintenance requirements and safety concerns.

Assist with vehicle servicingrepairs inspections and transportation of vehicles.

Audit and maintain vehicle firstaid kits emergency response equipment fuel cards keys and associated fleetequipment.

Support vehicle incident andaccident investigations including collection of information photographs andsupporting documentation.

AdministrativeDuties

Update database registers andmanagement systems with inspection findings and operational information

Provide administrative andoperational support to the Facilities Coordinator and Asset Facilities andInfrastructure Manager as required

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in in a fast-paced environment in either a facilitiesmaintenance handyman trade fleet or property services environment with theability to undertake general maintenance and repair tasks identify maintenanceissues and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of organisationalassets.

  • Excellent prioritisation and problem-solving to work independently and respond to urgent situations as needed
  • Strong organisational and time management skills toprioritise workloads use initiative and be flexible to changing priorities

Relevant work experience in a similar position

Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and externally with relevant stakeholders

Ability to work independently and in a teamenvironment including across all trades services and workgroups and promotewellbeing in the work group

Sound level computer skills with ademonstrable aptitude with Microsoft Office products

Appreciation and demonstrated awareness andunderstanding of health safety and environmental issuespolicies and procedures

Abilities to usehand and power tools

Abilities to carryout manual handling task

Required Licenses and Checks

Ability to pass a National Police Check no Serious/Criminal/Court Records

Current Blue Card (Queenslands Working with Children Check)

Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld)

Proof of qualifications and current registration (as appropriate) are to be provided prior to commencement of employment
