Position Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and service-focused Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team at Sheraton Melbourne Hotel. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences across our dining and beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Operations
- Provide friendly professional and efficient service to guests in restaurants bars banquets and in-room dining.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is required before commencement.
- Assist with opening and closing duties including setting up supplies cleaning work areas and ensuring readiness for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout service hours following clean-as-you-go practices.
- Monitor dining areas for guest comfort safety and overall experience.
- Respond promptly and positively to guest requests and inquiries.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Support other departments when required to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Guest Interaction
- Greet and acknowledge guests warmly using their name when possible.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance including support for individuals with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
Operational Standards
- Follow company policies safety protocols and uniform standards.
- Handle equipment and tools responsibly ensuring functionality and safety.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing walking lifting bending and reaching during shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage service within hotels restaurants or events preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Hospitality qualification desirable but not essential.
- Minimum 1-2 years of Food & Beverage experience required.
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position (no sponsorship available).
