Job Title: Export Artist Strategy Manager APAC
A little bit about our team:
The APAC Artist Strategy team is a supporting force behind APACs evolution from a collection of markets into a true global career accelerator for artists. Our team exists in a de-centralised manner with team members across Australia Hong-Kong Japan Korea Philippines Indonesia China and Singapore.
We exist to design and deliver multi territory artist strategies shaping how emerging import artists can have APAC-first thinking embedded and how APAC export artists can build meaningful scalable careers out of one of the worlds most complex and culturally rich music regions. We bring together insight creativity and execution to turn early momentum into long-term growth.
Our mandate spans the full spectrum of artist development. We partner with global repertoire owners regional leadership and local marketing teams to influence strategy earlier unlock cross-market opportunity and ensure APAC isnt just responding to global plans or but actively shaping them. At the same time we build the infrastructure frameworks and specialist services that enable APAC-signed artists to grow consumption beyond their home markets and step confidently onto the global stage.

Your role:
In this role you will act as a vital strategic bridge between local repertoire and global audiences partnering with local label leads to help translate their vision for international markets. From tracking market sparks to identifying which creative assets will resonate across diverse territories you will be the key specialist who knows how to adapt a home-market success story for a completely different cultural context.
This position offers an incredible opportunity to hone your project management skills and commercial acumen within a dynamic regional framework. Whether youre working on an Anglo indie act or a Punjabi rapper you will absorb the nuances of any sound and collaborate with specialised teams to deliver results. You will act as a central source of truth ensuring that assets campaign budgets and communication flow seamlessly between local labels and global territories as we build the practical infrastructure to scale the next generation of APAC talent.
Here youll get to:
You will coordinate and execute comprehensive export strategies that guide local talent toward international success identifying specific target markets and sparks for growth.
You will act as the central source of truth for global partners ensuring they have the assets information and campaign updates needed to lean into our artists.
You will manage day-to-day campaign budgets with precision ensuring high-impact investment decisions to fuel artist campaigns ex-home market.
You will support fan growth and community management initiatives collaborating with marketing leads to ensure digital engagement resonates across different cultures.
You will drive project workflows between local labels third-party agencies and international territories to keep every campaign on track and on time.
You will run remote lean-in campaigns in markets with limited local resourcing coordinating with local experts and executing paid media strategies to build artist awareness.
You will facilitate on-ground artist opportunities assisting with international promo trips live showcases and regional industry events.
You will analyse artist social and first-party data through an export lens surfacing trends and streaming insights that can be leveraged for global momentum.
About you:
You have 3 years of experience in recorded music music distribution artist management or live entertainment with a solid track record in executing marketing campaigns.
You have a solid understanding of or direct experience working within key regional genres (such as Anglo pop/dance/rock K-pop J-pop Mandopop Cantopop Hindi/Punjabi pop or Desi Hip-hop).
You have a strong regional artist perspective and experience within APACs music markets combined with the commercial acumen to track performance and budget investments.
You enjoy being a cultural chameleon and strategic thinker who understands how different cultural nuances necessitate flexible ways of working to achieve the best outcomes.
You are passionate about international music eager to learn what makes APAC artists successful across the globe and thrive in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
You have exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
You will be based in Sydney and are willing and able to travel internationally for work.

Multilingual skills: Any additional languages like Mandarin Cantonese Korean Japanese or Hindi.
Technical Proficiency: Experience using music analytics tools like Chartmetric or Soundcharts and project management platforms like Asana.
Digital Marketing Knowledge: A strong understanding of global DSP ecosystems and localised social media platforms across the APAC region.
