Job Summary
Aplus Agency is currently recruiting on behalf of Meningie Hotel for an experienced and motivated Chef. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established hospitality business committed to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and presenting quality meals while maintaining high standards of food safety consistency and kitchen operations.

Meningie Hotel is an established hospitality business located in Meningie South Australia committed to providing outstanding dining experiences quality food and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cook and present high-quality meals.
Develop and contribute to seasonal menus and specials.
Supervise food preparation and ensure consistency of dishes.
Monitor food quality portion control and presentation.
Assist with ordering stock rotation and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene and WHS requirements.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
Work collaboratively to deliver exceptional customer service.
Applicants should possess:
Minimum one (1) year of relevant full-time experience as a Chef.
Relevant commercial cookery qualification is highly regarded.
Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required Skills:
AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
