Our client Clare Country Club is a well-established hospitality venue located in the Clare Valley region known for quality dining accommodation and guest services. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join their kitchen team and support the delivery of high-quality meals for guests functions and daily service.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare cook and present a variety of dishes in line with menu standards recipes and customer expectations.
Menu Support: Assist with menu planning daily specials and preparation of dishes suitable for restaurant service functions and events.
Ingredient Management: Weigh measure and prepare ingredients accurately to maintain consistency portion control and food quality.
Cooking Operations: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently including ovens grills fryers and other commercial kitchen equipment.
Quality Control: Ensure all meals are prepared to a high standard of taste presentation freshness and consistency before service.
Stock & Inventory: Assist with ordering receiving storing and rotating food supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise wastage.
Food Safety & Compliance: Follow food safety hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean organised and hygienic kitchen environment including workstations utensils and equipment.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other chefs cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Requirements
Qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent; or at least three years of relevant experience.
Experience: Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen hotel restaurant or hospitality venue.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of food preparation cooking techniques portion control presentation and kitchen operations.
Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility: Availability to work weekends evenings public holidays and weekdays as required.
Work Rights: Must have the correct rights to work in Australia.
