Bakers Delight Erina Fair is seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join our busy production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated baker who takes pride in producing fresh high-quality breads and bakery products.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and weigh flour yeast and other ingredients to prepare dough
Mix knead mature cut mould and shape dough by hand and using bakery equipment
Prepare and bake breads rolls buns artisan products and other bakery items
Operate mixers dough dividers moulders provers and commercial ovens
Monitor dough fermentation proving times and dough temperatures
Adjust oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistent product quality
Check finished products for appearance texture size and quality
Follow production schedules and ensure products are available on time
Maintain accurate production stock and wastage records
Monitor ingredient levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering
Clean and sanitise equipment trays tins and work areas
Follow food safety workplace health and safety and hygiene procedures
Support and provide guidance to junior bakery employees when required
Requirements
Relevant baking qualification or equivalent industry experience
Previous experience working as a baker in a commercial or retail bakery
Strong knowledge of dough preparation fermentation proving and baking
Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment safely
Good time management and ability to work to production deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality
Ability to work early mornings weekends and public holidays as required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
