Rising Sun Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional who takes pride in preparing high-quality meals and contributing to a busy hotel kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cook and present meals in line with the hotels menu and quality standards.
Ensure food is prepared fresh safely and consistently for customers.
Assist with menu planning specials and seasonal food offerings.
Maintain high standards of food presentation portion control and kitchen hygiene.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Ensure all food safety health and hygiene regulations are followed.
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
Maintain a clean organised and efficient workstation.
Assist with managing food costs wastage and kitchen productivity.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Chef in a hotel restaurant pub or similar hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
Relevant commercial cookery qualification is preferred.
Must be reliable hardworking and passionate about delivering quality food.
