- Role based in our Parramatta Office with a requirement to also attend the CBD office as needed

We have an exciting temporary opportunity available as an Executive Officer directly supporting the Chief Executive Officer for the Environment Protection Authority (EPA). This includes managing the CEOs Office and providing high-level executive support and advice to the CEO. This role also involves managing agency-wide projects and implementing strategies as directed to support the achievement of key organisational and whole of government objectives.
You will need to provide timely and well-informed advice to the CEO ELT and SLT on a full range of diverse and complex issues projects and reforms that span across the EPAs role and functions in consultation with relevant areas as required to ensure the CEO and other senior leaders are fully briefed on key issues and projects.
We are seeking an exceptional performer for this critical agency role. You will be a purpose driven outcomes focused and collaborative in your approach with exceptional time management. You will have experience operating in a high-volume work environment with competing demands tight deadlines and divergent internal and external stakeholder perspectives to deliver considered advice and accurate responses to requests.
You will have demonstrated experience successfully working in an environment where confidentiality diplomacy and discretion are addition exercising astute judgement in managing confidential and sensitive information that has the potential to impact on organisational performance or reputation. You will be a strong and supportive leader of people to guide and engage with the CEO Office team as well as senior leaders and staff across the EPA.
CEOs Office
The CEOs office provides direct support for the CEO as well as Secretariat support for the EPA Board the Executive the Senior Leadership team and the People Leaders group. The team also coordinates and manages requests for information received from the Ministers Office DCCEEW and other government agencies ensuring informed and well-constructed responses that comply with government protocols whilst maintaining confidentiality diplomacy and discretion and to enable the CEO to make timely decisions to meet external obligations. The team also manage current issues and identify and investigate urgent and emerging management and contentious issues and risks to which the CEO will need to respond and collaborate with the EPA Executive partner agencies and others in providing appropriate well considered solutions.
