Role Executive Manager Credit Operations (REQ)

How will I help

As Executive Manager Credit Operations you will play a critical leadership role within Mortgage Operations guiding credit decisioning in complex customer and commercial matters. You will lead credit assessment across Home Loan consumer and small business customers leading a culture of service whilst ensuring strong risk outcomes delivered consistently. This is a national leadership role with teams in Adelaide Sydney and Melbourne.

You will provide strategic leadership to teams responsible for credit oversight coach and develop senior leaders and drive a culture of accountability compliance and customer focus. Youll also be a key escalation point for complex credit queries and work collaboratively across Risk Business Units and Operations to continuously lift performance and simplify processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership in credit development across business initiatives
  • Driving sound credit decision-making aligned to policy and regulatory requirements
  • Leading credit oversight governance and escalation processes
  • Partnering across Risk Distribution and Operations to deliver improved outcomes
  • Coaching leaders and fostering a high-performing customer-centric culture
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency capability and customer experience

What do I need

Youll bring significant experience in credit risk and decisioning within financial services with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and commercial outcomes. Youll be an experienced leader who can operate at an executive level and influence across complex stakeholder environments.

Key experience and capabilities include:

  • Extensive background in credit decisioning and credit risk management
  • Proven leadership experience managing senior leaders and large teams
  • Strong understanding of regulatory risk and compliance obligations
  • Experience driving governance controls and accountability frameworks
  • Ability to manage escalations and complex credit scenarios with confidence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
