An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operational leader to join Mortgage Operations as Executive Manager Certifications & Settlements. Reporting to the Head of Mortgage Operations youll lead a large-scale national function responsible for the successful certification and settlement of home lending applications across Westpacs mortgage portfolio.
Leading a geographically dispersed team of more than 600 employees and partner resources across Australia and offshore you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer and broker outcomes while driving operational excellence performance and continuous improvement.
How youll make an impact
- Lead a national post-approval mortgage operations function spanning document preparation certification and end-to-end settlement delivery
- Drive service risk customer and financial performance outcomes across a large and complex operational environment
- Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team across multiple locations
- Partner with stakeholders across Mortgages Consumer Banking and Operations to improve customer and broker outcomes
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency
- Champion a culture of accountability continuous improvement and proactive risk management
- Build strong relationships across the mortgages value chain to influence and deliver strategic business outcomes
What youll bring

- Significant experience leading large-scale operational teams through senior leaders
- Strong knowledge of mortgage operations lending fulfilment settlements or related banking functions
