Estimator

A leading international project and cost management consultancy is seeking an Estimator to join its Sydney team.

Partnering with some of the worlds largest technology and infrastructure clients the business delivers complex data centre and mission-critical projects across Australia and globally. Role Overview

This role is suited to an Estimator with construction or consultancy experience who is looking to further develop their career on major projects.

Youll work closely with project teams to prepare accurate estimates from early feasibility through to detailed cost planning providing commercial insight that supports informed project decisions. Working alongside experienced industry professionals youll gain exposure to technically complex projects while continuing to develop your estimating expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare project estimates and cost plans across all project stages
Support the development of project estimating strategies and methodologies
Prepare Project Basis of Estimate documentation and Estimate Risk Analysis
Provide cost contingency recommendations and commercial advice
Maintain and develop current market rates for estimating purposes
Undertake project benchmarking and peer reviews to ensure estimate accuracy
Identify commercial risks and support value engineering initiatives
Build strong relationships with clients consultants and project stakeholders

Skills & Experience

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying Construction Management Engineering or a related discipline
Estimating experience within a construction or consultancy environment
Experience preparing estimates across multiple project stages
Experience using CostX InEight Sage Timberline or similar estimating software is highly regarded
Strong analytical and commercial problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
RICS CEP or CPE accreditation or working towards chartership is highly regarded
