About Opportunity
As Manager Environmental and Sustainability youll guide all environmental and sustainability activities on a regional project reporting to the Project Director. Youll set the strategic direction for environmental protection sustainability performance climate and resource management and regulatory compliance through design construction commissioning and handover working closely with construction engineering procurement land access and stakeholder teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Direct all environmental and sustainability functions across the project
- Set governance for environmental and sustainability management to Builder PSDR
- Ensure compliance with approvals EPRs and legislation
- Oversee the Construction Environmental Management Plan and sub-plans
- Drive the Sustainability Management Plan and initiatives
- Monitor and report on performance targets and KPIs
- Manage environmental and sustainability risk incidents and audits
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering
- Experience managing environmental/sustainability on major projects
- Strong knowledge of approvals EPRs and legislation
- Experience managing sustainability initiatives and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Location and conditions
This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
