Engineers – Wastewater Treatment D&C ( Multiple Roles )

Nature of position: Permanent Full Time

Reporting Line: Program Manager

Key Responsibilities

Service Stream has a long-term panel contract to deliver Yarra Valley Waters Treatment Plant Improvements Program.

The portfolio has interesting multi disciplined wastewater treatment design and construction projects up to $7M with larger projects on the horizon.

We are seeking multiple engineers of various experience in wastewater treatment design and or construction. Roles include :

• Graduate Engineer ( 0-2 years experience )
• Site / Project Engineer ( up to 5 years experience )
• Mechanical Engineer ( up to 5 years experience ) ; and
• Project Engineer ( up to 10 years experience ).

Mechanical engineers are preferred however process electrical and civil engineers with multidisciplined delivery experience will also be considered.

The roles are generally based from the Epping office with all project sites in Melbournes northern and eastern suburbs including Lilydale Chirnside Park Wallan and Whittlesea. Hybrid WFH is available particularly during design.

The roles are responsible for :

• Leading key aspects of projects

• Design design coordination and reviews

• Develop work packages and procurement for various suppliers and subcontractors
• Managing coordinating and monitoring others to undertake construction works ( e.g. civil / structural sub-contractors mechanical equipment installation electrical installation )
• Commissioning
• Client liaison and reporting ; and
• Contract management / administration.

About You

• Australian engineering degree ( honours ) or equivalent
• Engineers living in Melbournes northern ( and eastern ) suburbs are encouraged to apply particularly mechanical engineers
• Multi-disciplinary project engineering experience
• Ideally some water / wastewater treatment design and construction experience with a contractor ( consulting experience will also be considered )
• You know how to get the job done with a history of delivering efficiently and to a high standard
• Mechanical equipment installation / construction / site experience ideally in the wastewater industry
• D&C experience in the following water / wastewater treatment projects will be very well regarded :
  • Chemical dosing facilities
  • Mechanical equipment selection and installation
  • Transfer pumps
  • Large UV equipment
  • Inlet works ( grits and screens odour control facility )
• Basic AutoCAD skills would be well regarded
• Effective communicator who enjoys collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors
• Advanced maths and critical thinking skills
• Financial management experience ( with oversight )
• Ability to deal diligently patiently and professionally with internal stakeholders clients sub-contractors and suppliers ; and
• Initiative-taker able to determine own priorities and manage work accordingly.
