About The Opportunity

In this role you will providetechnical engineering support across development activities including assessing operational works inspecting civil infrastructure and working closely with developers consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Council standards and statutory requirements.

In addition you will also but not limited to

  • Undertake the assessment of basic Operational Works applications when required.
  • Assist in ensuing that land use and developments meet statutory requirementsand community standards.
  • Oversee the pre-start and on/off maintenance processes including attending field inspections and meetings.
  • Collaborate with Councils asset owners to ensure construction activities align with Infrastructure requirements and standards.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Hold a territory qualification in engineering or a a related field or relevant experience.
  • Hold a current drivers licence.
  • Extensive experience in the construction and supervision of infrastructure including earthworks pavements water supply sewerage stormwater and other associated infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal oral and written communication skills with the ability to consult communicate and problem solve effectively.
  • Previous local government experience is highly regarded.
