Community Engagement Officer (Casual 10 to 15 hours per week)

Simply Helping South Brisbane is a locally owned provider of highquality Aged Care and NDIS supports. As we continue to grow our presence across the South Brisbane corridor we are introducing a new and nonstandard position designed to strengthen our community relationships and increase awareness of our services.
An operational brief will be provided outlining the key requirements of the position. This document defines the purpose scope core responsibilities reporting arrangements expected outcomes and KPIs ensuring the role is implemented consistently and supports our strategic growth.
Purpose of the Role
The Community Engagement Officer will be the friendly professional communityfacing representative of Simply Helping South Brisbane. The role exists to build genuine relationships with Support Coordinators Case Managers Allied Health professionals and community organisations while increasing visibility of our services across the region.
This is not a sales role. It is a relationshipbuilding and communitypresence role focused on trust connection and awareness.
Scope
The role covers community engagement activities across the South Brisbane corridor including:
- Outreach to referrers and community partners
- Attendance at events expos and networking sessions
- Representation of Simply Helping at community locations
- Delivery of information in a warm professional nonsalesy manner
- Weekly reporting on engagement activities
The position is casual (1020 hours per week) with flexible scheduling during business hours.
Core Responsibilities
- Visit Support Coordinators Aged Care Case Managers OTs Physios and community organisations to build relationships.
- Host popup information kiosks at shopping centres libraries and community hubs.
- Attend expos community events and networking sessions to represent Simply Helping.
- Represent the business when the owner is unable to attend external engagements.
- Share information about our services clearly professionally and without sales pressure.
- Follow a structured weekly outreach plan.
- Provide simple weekly activity reports (contacts made conversations held followups required).
- Maintain a warm communityfocused presence aligned with Simply Helping values.

- Confident personable and comfortable engaging with people facetoface
- Experienced in NDIS aged care disability community services or similar
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
- Warm reliable and aligned with personcentred values
- Comfortable working independently in the community
- Organised and able to follow a weekly outreach plan
- Resultsdriven with a positive mindset
This is a relationshipbuilding role not a traditional sales role.

Requirements
- Experience in NDIS aged care disability or community services (preferred)
- Current drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Childrens Check - Current
- First Aid / CPR (Current)
- Ability to work independently and represent our brand professionally
