What youll do

As anElectrical Transmission Lines Design Engineer in our Queensland Energy group basedin Brisbaneyoull guide purposeful work that supports the future of the energy sector. Collaborating with a diverse multidisciplinary Power Transmission & Distribution team youll explore integrated solutions offer thoughtful perspectives and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.

Youll play a pivotal role in delivering state-of-the-art transmission line infrastructure (up to 500kV) as part of the AEMO Integrated System Plan (ISP) and Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).

• Advise clients on complex transmission line design from concept to delivery across BESS gas generation and grid connection projects.

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.

• Deliver high-quality advice that informs decisions.

• Contribute to resilient and innovative engineering solutions.

• Apply advanced analytics and optimisation to enhance performance.

What youll bring

• Relevant engineering qualifications and 5 years consulting utilities or distribution experience in Electrical Engineering

• Working towards CPEng and/or RPEQ (preferred)

• Strong capability in Transmission Line modelling experience with PLS-CADD PLS-Pole and PLS-Tower.

• A track record of delivering practical impactful outcomes

• Strong communication collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills

• The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions

• A willingness to travel occasionally and support site-based roles when needed
