Base salary from $105807 per annum (plus super)
Were looking for multiple Electrical Technicians to join our high-performing teams across Maintenance and Construction. This is an opportunity to work on critical electricity infrastructure helping deliver safe reliable power to communities across Tasmania while building a rewarding long-term career.

As part of our Maintenance team youll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Tasmanias electricity network. Youll maintain inspect and fault-find on specialised HV and LV assets including HV switchgear Circuit Breakers LV switchboards Zone battery replacements submarine cables and Transformer oil testing helping keep the network operating safely and efficiently.
As part of our Construction team youll help deliver critical energy infrastructure projects including substation construction network upgrades and major capital works. From installation and testing through to commissioning youll contribute to projects that support Tasmanias growing energy future.
In this role you will:
- Deliver safe efficient and high-quality electrical work that meets customer expectations and project timeframes.
- Repair maintain and construct electricity distribution network assets.
- Operate across the HV and LV network within your qualifications and competencies.
- Install LV services support metering activities and complete network maintenance works.
- Conduct testing commissioning and fault-finding activities on network equipment.

To be successful in this role you will be a trade qualified Electrician (Cert III in Electrotechnology) and hold a Tasmanian Electrical Practitioners Licence. This combined with your proven ability to determine the most effective and efficient way to achieve results whilst focusing on continuous improvement is key to joining a high performing team.
Youll bring:
- HRW licences (DG WP CV) and MR/HR licence desirable.
- A focus on safety quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems.
