About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a long-term secure defence project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant program of work contributing to critical infrastructure within a highly structured and professional environment.

This is a permanent position supporting a project with an initial duration of at least two years commencing around June with strong potential for ongoing engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end electrical engineering support across a major defence project
  • Assist with project delivery through to completion ensuring key milestones and timelines are met
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders engineers and controls teams
  • Deliver technical input engineering oversight and on-site problem-solving support
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards defence requirements and safety regulations
  • Support documentation testing commissioning and handover activities

About You

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience delivering projects within Australia
  • Demonstrated capability across:
    • Project delivery and completion
    • Engineering design and implementation
    • Controls and related systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a secure on-site environment
  • Eligible to obtain Defence security clearance:
    • Australian-born or
    • Australian citizen for a minimum of five years
    • Ability to obtain and clear Police Clearance.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working on Defence or secure government projects
  • Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a broader project team
