Rainbow Region Kids a program of Northern Rivers Community Gateway is currently recruiting Casual Educators to support our Outside School Hours Care (OOSH) services across the Northern Rivers during our upcoming Vacation Care periods.
Our Vacation Care programs operate between 8:00am and 6:00pm and include a variety of engaging activities and excursion days. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable educators who enjoy working with children and can support our services across multiple locations.
About the Role
As an Educator you will:
Support the planning and delivery of engaging child-centred programs aligned with the My Time Our Place Framework
Foster respectful supportive relationships with children
Ensure a safe inclusive and fun environment in line with the National Quality Framework
Assist with routines care supervision and learning opportunities across structured and free play activities
Support children during excursions activities and vacation care experiences
Collaborate with a passionate and professional team to provide high-quality care across multiple sites

Selection Criteria
Essential
Interest in working with children and contributing to positive learning environments
Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team
Understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time Our Place learning framework
Ability to develop meaningful and respectful relationships with children
Commitment to child safety wellbeing and inclusive practices
Availability across school holiday periods essential
Desirable
Experience working with school-aged children in education recreation or care settings
Experience using digital childcare platforms (e.g. OWNA)
Ability to travel between sites desirable
Currently studying towards or holding a Certificate III (or equivalent) in Childrens Services highly desirable
Requirements
NSW Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid in Education and Care Setting (Provided!)
Completion of or willingness to complete a recognised Child Protection course (Provided)
