Drama Teacher (Prep to Year 4)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our Junior School community on a part time (approximate 0.70 FTE) ongoing basis from Term 1 2027.

This role will be responsible for teaching Drama across years Prep to 4 including delivering co-curricular Speech and Drama workshops and directing the annual Junior School production in a collaborative and progressive environment.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications in Education.
• Current VIT Registration.
• Knowledge of the Australian Primary Curriculum and IB PYP as they apply to teaching Drama.
• Experience teaching Drama in a Primary School setting preferably within an independent school.
• Ability to plan direct and deliver Junior School workshops and productions.
• Contemporary teaching practice and effective use of ICT to enhance student learning.
• Strong classroom management strategies that support engagement and positive learning outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the broader Performing Arts team and other colleagues to create inclusive learning and production opportunities.
• Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
