Our client is a South Australian engineering and steel fabrication company specialising in structural steel architectural metalwork and custom fabrication solutions for commercial and industrial projects. they pride ourselves on delivering quality workmanship innovative solutions and exceptional customer service. Synergie are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join theirgrowing team.

As a Draftsperson you will play a key role in transforming design concepts into accurate fabrication and construction drawings. Working closely with project managers engineers estimators and workshop personnel you will prepare detailed drawings and documentation that support the successful delivery of a wide range of steel fabrication projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed fabrication and shop drawings for structural steel and metalwork projects.
• Interpret architectural structural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD models for fabrication and installation.
• Prepare material lists cutting schedules and manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate drawings with engineers project managers clients and workshop staff.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.
• Liaise with the fabrication team to resolve technical and production queries.
• Maintain organised drawing registers and project documentation.
• Assist with project planning and provide technical drafting support throughout project delivery.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Qualifications in Engineering Drafting Design Drafting or a related discipline.
• Experience preparing structural steel and fabrication drawings.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures (experience with SolidWorks or similar software is advantageous).
• A strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes.
• The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
