About the Role
The Domestic Services team manages the cleaning of each Cabrini facility including our hospitals located at Malvern and Brighton as well as our health facilities located at Elsternwick. The Domestic Services Assistant (Cleaner) is responsible for cleaning and maintaining safe and attractive facilities. You will also make a positive difference by joining a leading not-for-profit healthcare service provider.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and servicing patient rooms and associated areas
- Ensuring all equipment is cleaned
- Using all equipment in a safe and efficient manner adhering to relevant policies procedures and protocols
- Working with other hospital team members to optimise the safety care and overall experience of our patients
Permanent part-time role (3-4 days per week) mostly Monday-Friday with a preference for flexibility to work weekends as required. AM/PM shifts are available: 8AM-4PM or 2PM-10PM. The role will be predominantly day-based with flexibility to work afternoon or evening shifts as needed.
Casual position shifts available across Monday-Sunday AM/PM flexibility to work a range of shifts throughout the week.
About you
This role will suit an experienced cleaner with experience gained in a domestic or commercial environment. We are looking for flexibility throughout the week as well as the following:
- Responsiveness and proactive thorough approach to tasks
- Strong customer/patient service focus
- High level attention to detail and a flexible approach to work with a great work ethic
- A team player with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues
- Self-motivated and reliable with excellent personal presentation
- Well-developed communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken English
