Disability Support Worker
Job Summary
Blue Iris Support Services is seeking compassionate and resilient Disability Support Workers to join our growing Toowoomba team.
In this role you will support participants with complex support needs helping them achieve greater independence community participation and quality of life.
You may be supporting participants with high-needs and complex behaviours including some non-verbal individuals requiring assistance with personal care. Experience in complex support or behaviour support is highly desirable. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.
- Personal care and daily living support
- Meal preparation and household assistance
- Community access appointments and social activities
- Implementing behaviour support strategies
- Supporting participant goals and independence
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns
- Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Experience supporting people with disability including complex behaviours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
