About the Role

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team you will support 4 people with disability living in shared housing inKirrawee who enjoy watching planes at the airport going to see horses and swimming!

The people you will be supporting require a range of support and so successful candidates must be experienced and confident in working within a varied environment which will include high behaviours of concern (including high volume swearing) high medical needs high intensity daily personal activities and heavy hoisting and manual handling. We have Permanent Part Time and Casual positions available.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Provide assistance with High Intensity daily personal activities
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with people with disability
• Previous experience working behaviours of concern
• Prior experience working with high medical needs
• Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
• Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
• An unrestricted Australian drivers licence
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
