Lighthouse Disability Support is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers for casual opportunities across home community and supported accommodation settings.

Every day is different. Youll support participants at home and in the community helping them navigate everyday life build confidence and access opportunities that matter to them.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker you will provide practical and person-centred support tailored to each participants goals preferences and support needs.

Depending on participant needs the role may include personal care and hygiene support meal management medication assistance skill development community participation transport to appointments household tasks and positive behaviour support. Applicants must be comfortable providing personal care where and if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred supports that promote choice dignity and inclusion.
  • Support participants with daily living activities personal care and skill development.
  • Assist participants to access appointments social activities education employment and community opportunities.
  • Implement support plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans while responding appropriately to risks and changing circumstances.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and work collaboratively with participants families and stakeholders.

Roster Requirements

Our services operate across a flexible roster based on participant needs. Applicants must be available to work a combination of:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Weekend shifts
  • Public holiday shifts
  • Sleepover shifts

Specific availability requirements will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role you must hold:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain).
  • Current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain).
  • Current Open Driver Licence.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support Disability Community Services Mental Health or a related field or equivalent industry experience.

Required Experience:
