About the opportunity
This is a significant leadership opportunity to help shape the future of Retirement Living at Bolton Clarke. Reporting to the Chief Development and Property Officer the Director Asset Management will lead the strategic stewardship of a national portfolio of retirement living assets ensuring our villages remain safe compliant sustainable and responsive to the changing needs of residents. You will guide enterprise-wide asset management maintenance capital works and contractor activity bringing together long-term planning commercial discipline and strong governance to support resident experience service quality and the future direction of this important sector.
Key activities
- Provide strategic stewardship across the national Retirement Living asset portfolio.
- Deliver asset strategy lifecycle planning and long-term investment priorities.
- Oversee maintenance refurbishment renewal and capital works programs.
- Strengthen governance compliance risk and contractor management.
- Lead asset data systems reporting and performance insights.
- Coach and enable Regional Asset Managers and shared asset teams.
- Manage OPEX CAPEX tendering contracts and executive reporting.
About you
You are an experienced senior leader in asset management facilities maintenance infrastructure property or a related discipline with the ability to lead complex asset portfolios in regulated multi-site environments. You bring strong governance financial stakeholder and people leadership capability with a practical understanding of asset lifecycle management building compliance WHS contractor management and capital works delivery.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Extensive senior leadership experience in asset management facilities maintenance infrastructure property or a related function.
- Experience working in aged care health care retirement living or another complex regulated multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-site maintenance and asset management programs including statutory preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management building compliance WHS regulations contractor management governance and risk management.
- Financial management capability including budget preparation capex planning tendering contract evaluation negotiation and cost optimisation.
- Highly developed communication stakeholder engagement and reporting skills with the ability to influence executive operational and external stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in facilities management asset management engineering construction management project management or a related discipline or significant equivalent experience.
