Are you passionate about using digital and creative solutions to deliver innovative experiences that inspire and engage audiences Museums of History NSW is seeking a Digital and Experience Innovation Manager to lead the delivery of immersive technology-enabled experiences across our exhibitions programs and digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how audiences connect with history through creativity collaboration and innovation.

- Clerk Grade 9/10. Remuneration package includes salary ($133348 - $146945) employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Museums ofHistory NSW is a state cultural institution established under the Museums ofHistory NSW Act 2022. It is an agency of the NSW Department of CreativeIndustries Tourism Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
What youll do with us:
The Digital and ExperienceInnovation Manager is responsible for driving the organisations experiencedesign approach shaping and supporting the team in the design of innovativeaudience-focused experiences that integrate digital spatial and interpretiveelements across exhibitions programs and platforms. The role providesleadership to a specialist team including 3D designers and digital supporttechnicians coordinating the development of immersive interactive andtechnology-enabled experiences that align with organisational priorities andenhance audience engagement.
Working within projectstructures led by the Exhibitions and Interpretation and Programs andActivations teams the role ensures the effective integration of digitalelements and the consistent application of innovative approaches acrossprojects.
The position connects creativetechnical and strategic thinking - enabling the team to translateorganisational objectives into compelling experiences while maintainingvisibility across workstreams technical feasibility and operationalsustainability. It fosters a culture of experimentation and continuousimprovement identifying and implementing new tools technologies andapproaches that expand the organisations capability and ambition in digitalexperience design.
Through strong leadershipcollaboration and technical guidance the Digital Experience and InnovationManager ensures that digital and 3D design outputs are cohesive high-qualityand deliver meaningful and engaging visitor experiences across physical anddigital environments.

Essential requirements of the role:
- Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of complex experience design projects integrating digital spatial and/or interactive elements.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality audience-focused digital outcomes.
Strong project and workflow management skills including prioritisation and resource allocation across competing demands. - Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to work across and ability to travel to multiple work locations.
