Diesel Mechanic Afternoon Shift

Whats the Role:

Were seeking a trade qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic. It is an exciting opportunity to join our industry leading transportation company and play a key role in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses to meet their transport needs.

Lindsay Transport is Australias largest fresh produce transporter delivering temperature-sensitive freight to major markets and grocery distribution centers. Working an afternoon shift starting at 1:00pm you will have the opportunity to work on state of the art equipment and some of the best products the industry has to offer!

• Permanent role Monday to Friday afternoon shift

What Youll Do:

• Reliability is the cornerstone in transport you will be an essential part ensuring our fleet is maintained tothe highest level:
• Vehicle maintenance and repair repairing replacing and diagnosing issues across a variety of fleet vehicles (prime movers rigids and trailers)
• Perform major repairs including midlifes and brake/bearing overhauls and servicing
• Demonstrating safe work practices leading by example and promoting a safe work culture
• Accurately completing maintenance and repair documentation.

What Youll Bring:

• Mechanical Trade qualification
• Proven competence in repairs and overhauls
• Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued
• Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth DAF Cummins BPW
• Basic computer skills
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Motivated reliable and a good work ethic
