Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters across both our HME and Field Maintenance teams to join our team at Capcoal Opencut Mine in Middlemount. To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
You will be a flexible team player and enjoy contributing to a positive and safety focused work environment. You will take pride in your work and have a desire to collaborate and contribute to the continuous improvement of the performance and processes involved with optimising our equipments availability and reliability. Your zero-harm mindset will be forefront of all processes and you will have a passion for safe delivery requirements.
Our HME team predominantly work on CAT D10 & D11 dozers Caterpillar 793D and Komatsu 830E trucks as well as other auxiliary equipment. The Field Maintenance team predominantly work on Marion 8050 and 8750 draglines (one of the biggest in Australia!) Hitachi excavators a P&H shovel CAT6310 & CAT6420 drills & more.

Qualifications :
Qualifications
Trade qualification in Diesel fitting
Demonstrated experience within an open-cut coal mine
Understand the processes and legislation involved with coal mining
Strong interpersonal skills are essential to the role
Experience working with the relevant machinery as listed above
Ability to be a self-starter and conduct thorough troubleshooting
