At SOTO Group were not just drafting plans we deliver practical high-quality engineering solutions across some of Australias most demanding industries. We are seeking a capable Design Draftsperson to join our expanding Design Services team based in our Unanderra office.

This full-time office-based role is ideal for a developing professional who enjoys working collaboratively with engineers and contributing to real-world project outcomes through accurate and reliable design documentation.

About You

You are an early-career or developing Draftsperson with experience in 2D and 3D CAD modelling and a strong foundation in engineering drafting principles. You enjoy learning asking questions and improving your technical capability in a supportive team environment.

You value collaboration precision and continuous improvement and take pride in delivering high-quality drawings that clearly communicate engineering intent. You are detail-oriented accountable and motivated to grow your skills across a variety of industrial projects.

What Youll Bring

  • Diploma in Drafting or similar qualification 2 years experience as a Draftsperson
  • Exposure to 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks or Inventor)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering concepts
  • Understanding of Australian drawing and design standards
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset

What Youll Do

  • Develop 3D models and produce 2D mechanical drawings for fabrication and construction
  • Ensure drawings align with project specifications and industry standards
  • Deliver accurate high-quality documentation that reflects engineering intent
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-disciplinary teams on project delivery
  • Support design reviews and contribute to project coordination activities
